Dude... I Have a Claim to Hawaiian Homeland

Right now, residents of Lanai are celebrating what could be a really good thing for so many. It has been made a priority to disperse land to everyone on the Hawaiian Homeland waitlist, until there is no more list. Many lucky people who have been waiting for such a long time will finally have their dreams made into a reality. On this remote island, with a population of around three-thousand residents, they will achieve something the other islands can only dream of... the waitlist will hit zero.

This program started in 1920, which states that native Hawaiians with at least 50% blood would receive land, given to them by the Hawaiian Home Commission. The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands said it is going to grant leases to the remaining people on the list. After the leases are given, homes would still require building, but it gives great hope to those who’ve been waiting for a long period of time. More than anything, this shows that they are making great progress towards the end goal. Celebrations are likely to ensue on Lanai.

Real Estate Tip of the Month:

HOAs are notorious for having some ridiculous rules, so make sure to read them before signing on the dotted line. Still, many of those rules can actually help protect your home’s value. Also, be sure to find out how much the HOA fees will cost you each month or year.

Business Feature:  Pancho’s Tacos:
Pancho’s is a game changer in Pahoa. Many residents, including myself, wait for the couple days of the week that Pancho’s takes up residence in town. Everything they make is outstanding! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. When I go there, I always get their carnitas tacos with extra red sauce. They are so juicy and well put together. I can’t recommend them enough! Everyone who is from Pahoa knows about Pancho’s and would probably give the same recommendation!
